Corinne Debellis , Raena Foster , Iyana Brown and Amber Lee + Health Promotion Program Impacting the Quality of Life and Job Performance of University Office Workers Office workers are at risk for health concerns due to their sedentary job role . Our study ’ s purpose was to measure whether our health promotion program would decrease participant ’ s perceived stress while increase their mindfulness awareness . Our studies ’ results did not show a statistically significant increase on mindfulness awareness , but did find a statistically significant decrease in perceived stress .
Alexis Sangalang-Pepper , Erin Barras , Kibwe Calzado , Casey McMahon , and Brittany Potter + Veteran Mindfulness Yoga Program This study used a single subject design to assess whether a mindfulness yoga intervention for a veteran could show reduced depression , anxiety , and other PTSD symptoms for improved occupational performance . The research participant showed improvement in depression , anxiety , stress levels , and occupational competence . Regressions in motivation , pattern , communication and interaction , process and motor skills , and environment were not found .
Sienna Schantz , Maci DiCicco , Samantha Cancel , Kelly Owens , Philip Torres , and Martin Frempong + Eat , Play , and Participate Research has found that children living in impoverished areas see reduced options to engage in valued occupations . Using a pretest-posttest quantitative approach , this program provided children with occupational choice which aimed to improve their occupational performance . While the demographic survey showed that children in impoverished areas don ’ t have the same opportunities , our program did not produce statistically significant results .
Diana Braeunle , Reagan Diamond , Isabella D ’ Orazio , Devon Grissinger , Paige Smith , and Aubree Van Houten + Increased Participation in Meaningful Occupations Among Young Adults in Transitional Housing Our research examined the changes in occupational balance and occupational identity for youth in transitional housing after engagement in a 6-week program . A quantitative methods design was used along with two assessment tools , the Life Balance Inventory and the Occupational Self-Assessment . Our research objective of increasing health management in foster youth was effective for selective outcome variables .
