Partnership with AHS Mental Health Programming
The TR program has created a strong partnership with Alberta Health Services - Mental Health Day Treatment Center at the Chinook Regional Hospital. Brandy Tonin, Recreation Therapist II with AHS has been the lead contact for our students. Brandy has been involved with the students learning since 2015 and we ran another successful partnership project last fall. Our Program Planning course involves skill based observational learning for our students to succeed. Brandy and her team have taken time and energy to meet some of the skill based learning objectives of our students by coordinating therapeutic recreation program shadowing opportunities. We hope to continue having the students attend and observe programming at this center. Thank you Brandy and your team!
