The TRUE Meaning of Christmas
We all do. We all get caught up in what's new, and what is on our Christmas lists. Admit it. How many times during the Christmas season do you actually think about the true meaning of it? You may not even know what that meaning is. Well, that meaning is Jesus.
Luke 2:11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
How much time do we spend focusing on the Christmas cookies, buying gifts, the decorating and music, compared to meditating on Jesus. Don't let earthly things become your focus this Christmas.
Col.3:2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
Make your focus on Jesus. The one who was born for you, to die for you. To pay for YOUR sins.
Why do we spend so much time thinking about earthly things? Earthly things are inticing. I'll admit, and I am sure many of you wll also. They are things we can see, touch, taste, hear, smell. Part of being a Christian is having faith in God and Jesus even when we can't have all our senses working with them. We can't always literally "hear" God ,however He does
