One of the more unconventional items
that can be used for a nontraditional
bathroom vanity is an old dresser or
chest of drawers that has been
purchased from a garage sale or thrift
store. To transform your yard sale
treasure into a unique bathroom style
vanity, cut a hole in the top of the
dresser or chest of drawers that has
been measured to fit your bathroom
sink. Once the hole has been cut and
the sink has been placed, cut a hole in
the back of the dresser, if necessary,
to allow the sink to access the required
plumbing, and hook the plumbing up
to the sink as you would with any
vanity. The extra drawers can be used
to store towels, washcloths or
toiletries, saving additional space.
