Next to the monuments have been seven flag poles for 27 years with the American flag , Georgia flag , and flags from each branch of the military : Army , Air Force , Marines , Navy and Coast Guard . A Space Force flag was added in 2022 . On the pole with the American flag is a POW-MIA flag ( Prisoner Of War , Missing In Action ).
There is a monument dedicated to those who formed the War Memorial Committee . As magnificent and as impressive as it is , there is one draw back of the Union
