Word Choice: Ethereal
A light had shined through the arch of the entrance. Through the beams, flowers had bloomed into life; the overflowing colors had been embracing into their vibrance and scents to imitate their natural ability. Their colors tenderfully overfilled the eyes of people who crossed the beige sidewalk. Though the entrance was wide and tall; no one had entered in respect of the ethereal garden which was populated with greens to harvest and fruits to demolish. The resting beauty had all the resources necessary. People had entered at times; some had plucked certain herbs in order to heal their loved ones (or themselves). Some had come to give themselves the freshness and tasteful quality of fruit. Certain humans had adventured off into the garden to hopefully catch glimpses of myths or tales that were once told.
“An old fairy will grant you a wish if you give her seven pure red apples,” A woman from the wooden cabin would say.
“The green goblin that hides inside of the largest tree will take away all your belongings unless you accept his requests for his hibernation routine,” The man with his pepper and salted beard would speak.
“There’s a golden peach that lies within the garden that gives you the body of an immortal being,” The teachers would announce to the classroom full of children. And through the beauty of the forest; destruction came. A monster that stood six feet tall, dressed in a black cloak, had entered the forest through the eerie night. His foot smashed into the planted tomatoes. His empty, gigantic basket had started to fill with fruits, herbs, and vegetables. He even took the seeds that were just planted this morning.
His foot now obliterated the rose bush; petals now expanded out of their home and fled through the wind. It left an aching breath and cried for help; even through its tears, no amount of water could bring back life into the garden. It now suffocated under the greedy grin that plastered onto the monster’s face. The creature, with baskets full of the garden’s life, now fled the scene. No trace or any remains to salvage were left. The human now successfully had taken the soulless remains from the oldest garden ever known to mankind.
