Active Listening

How to pay more attention!

Your friends get mad at you all time because they said that you don’t understand them? Even if you hear them all time? Well, I have to tell you that hearing is different from actually listening, and here you´ll learn how to develop active listening.

First of all you need to know that active listening is to focus your attention in only one person and understand her, also empathy is needed.

Here are some tips that will help you.

-->Have disposition.

-->Express that you understand.

-->Avoid distractions and judgments.

-->Show empathy.

-->Give words of support.

Conduct´s types.

Passive Conduct. A girl with this conduct would try to please everyone and avoid conflicts at any cost; she neither would express her-self. And frequently you would listen to her say phrases like “I don’t count” or “Your feelings count more than mine”.

Aggressive Conduct. This type of person would always defend his own rights and violate other’s rights, he will always try to dominate and win forcing the others to loose, you can identify a person with this type of conduct when you hear phrases like “Here just my opinion is important, you shut up”.

Assertive Conduct. A boy with this conduct would defend his own rights but never violate other’s rights, when he express him-self he would be direct and sincere, and you can always have a good communication with him.

So, with which conduct do you feel identified?
