Each stage is important because a healthy mourning process allows the human emotional immune system to resolve the loss. The five stages of grief aren’t always clear-cut. They simply act as a framework for healing. There is no set time limit for a healthy grieving process, though the more difficult periods should become less intense and shorter as time passes.
