Binge Eating

Binge-eating happens when someone loses control over his or her eating habits and consumes a large amount of food. Unlike bulimia, a person binge-eating does not try to purge or compensate for overeating. After binge-eating, feelings of shame and guilt set in; these feelings can trigger another episode. Symptoms include:

● Eating to the point of discomfort

● Obesity or weight issues

● High risk for cardiovascular disease and high

blood pressure

● Feelings of depression or disgust over binge-

eating
