When even those who are supposed to love us unconditionally fail to do that the Lord loves us no matter what. Hard to believe? Consider this:

God the Father loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you.

God wants a personal relationship with you, but He is SO Holy and all of us are so unholy that we couldn’t be in fellowship with Him in that condition. God knew only a perfect sacrifice could make up for our sins. So Jesus, God’s Son, willingly came to earth, lived a perfect life, and died a sacrificial death so anyone could have a personal relationship with God and spend eternity with Him in heaven. If we believe in Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross, we are “washed clean” by his blood. Now when God looks upon those who believe, He sees us as forgiven and pure and we are able to be in relationship with Him. No other god loves you in such a way that they would allow themselves to be humiliated the way Jesus did in order that He could have a personal relationship with you. God loves you that much.

Why would he do that?

“Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22
