Requirements A level : ABB – BBB . BTEC : DDM , must be in a Science subject . T level : M , must be in a relevant course . Tariff points : 120 – 128 points from 3 A levels , or equivalent , including a minimum of 32 points from a Science subject ( preferably Biology , Chemistry , Physics or Mathematics ). A levels in Applied Science , PE , Psychology and Sports Science are considered . BTEC Extended Diploma in a Science based subject and Science based Access to Higher Education awards are also welcomed . All shortlisted applicants will need to attend an interview . Applicants must pass Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS ) and Occupational Health checks before starting the course .

● Learn how to examine patients safely using X-ray , CT scanning , fluoroscopy , MRI , ultrasound and more
● Practise your skills under expert supervision in our Centre for Simulation in Health and Care , complete with digital X-ray suite
● Spend at least 14 weeks each year on clinical placements , working alongside experienced radiographers in real hospitals and NHS Trusts
● Become eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council ( HCPC ) when you graduate , ready for a career as a diagnostic radiographer or to train further and enter advanced practice , research , teaching or health management

● Practise your technical skills on medical manikins and work on communication with simulated patients in our Centre for Simulation in Health and Care , one of the country ’ s leading healthcare teaching environments

● Study at the first institution in the country to be accredited by the Association of Simulated Practice in Healthcare , and on a nursing course approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council ( NMC )

You ' ll be eligible to apply for registration on part 1 ( Adult ) of the professional NMC register , which allows you to work as a registered nurse in the UK . You ' ll also be ready to work as a nurse overseas , within a wide range of nursing roles in primary and secondary care ( once you ' ve registered with any applicable overseas nursing bodies ).
