Accounting and Business Management
BA (Hons)
Why study this course?
Accounting and Business Management combines financial planning with
knowledge of people and processes in the business world. You will learn
techniques and understand concepts and debates in organisational behaviour,
financial and management accounting, operations management and strategy.
The course will enhance your career prospects in a range of business
contexts. It is also recognised by global professional accountancy
bodies offering a number of important exemptions from their
professional exams.
You will build your understanding of business strategy, behaviour and
performance in the global context. Our computer laboratories, equipped
with Bloomberg terminals and Sage accounting software will allow
you to prepare, analyse and interpret accounting data using real world
examples. You can complement this practical experience by opting for
a placement year between your second and third year of study. This will
provide an excellent starting point for your career after Keele.
What will this mean for my future?
The programme offers a firm grounding to enable you to pursue a
career in accountancy as well as a broad range of other business or
management related careers. You will develop transferable skills such
