professional support and guidance
whenever and however you need it.
Student Services Centre
This is a one-stop-shop for anything
to do with being a student and our
trained team of professionals are
able to offer advice and support
throughout the year from the heart
of campus. The centre is the base
for the Disability and Dyslexia
Support Team, Money and Welfare
Team and International Student
Support Team as well as a useful
place to ask questions, however
big or small.

Support
If you are thinking of applying to
Keele and have a disability, please
contact us and we can discuss your
personal and academic requirements.
Our team provides ongoing, holistic
support for individual needs.
Depending on your needs and
funding, we can offer a wide range
of resources such as screening
diagnostic assessment and tuition
for dyslexia, specialised equipment
and software, and examination
arrangements.
As an Access Centre, we can also
arrange a Disabled Students’
Allowance (DSA) assessment. If
Keele is your first choice and you
have a physical and/or sensory
disability, have severe mental
health issues or are on the autistic
spectrum, you are guaranteed a
room on campus for the entire
period of your course, providing
your application has been supported
by our team.

Counselling and Mental
Health Support
Our Counselling and Mental
Health Support team includes
professionally trained and
experienced counsellors and
mental health practitioners. They’ll
listen to what you’re saying and
respect your feelings, without
judgement. They offer a space
where you can talk about your
emotions and refer you on to
other sources of help if they feel
you need it.

Our Chaplaincy service offers

Keele (ASK)
ASK is a great source of information,
advice and representation based
in the Students' Union. ASK staff
can advise you on a range of things
including academic issues and
university regulations, welfare

local information, grants, housing,
loans, personal matters and more.

Nightline
Our students support one another
throughout their university experience
and Nightline is a student-led
information and listening service.
It offers confidential support from
other students by phone, email or
online chat and is available to all
students from 9pm to 3am every
night during term-time.
