Our Faculties | 31 Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences The Faculty has expanded the programme portfolio range considerably over the last fifteen years. Throughout this period of growth we have remained firmly focused on the quality of the educational experience and developing effective close partnerships with local acute and community-based NHS Trust organisations, who host our varied range of clinical placements. Our Schools are focused on developing excellent clinicians whether they be doctors, midwives, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists or radiographers. Research has also enjoyed significant success, with Keele now seen as a major international centre for clinical and translational studies into musculoskeletal disorders. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has first rate Schools of Medicine; Health & Rehabilitation; Nursing & Midwifery and Pharmacy so is able to offer a full range of clinical professional programmes normally only found in much larger universities. We are fortunate in having relatively small cohorts allowing Schools to focus on high quality education and training allied to a sector-leading student experience. Programmes are underpinned by research-led, evidence-based teaching and delivered by dedicated staff working in modern, purpose built facilities. The quality of training is reflected in feedback from the professional bodies responsible for validating degree courses and in the consistent top-ten rankings enjoyed by all four Schools in disciplinary league tables and the National Student Survey. Schools based within this Faculty are: • School of Health and Rehabilitation • School of Medicine • School of Nursing and Midwifery • School of Pharmacy
