Why study this course?
If psychology is your passion or you are seriously considering a professional
career in psychology then we recommend Single Honours Psychology at Keele.
Our academic staff are not only excellent, award-winning teachers, but also

This course will immerse you in the discipline of psychology by offering
a personalised learning experience with abundant choice of compulsory
and elective modules. You will share the excitement of new discoveries
in psychology working alongside academic staff on research projects
from brain electrophysiology to studies on alcohol, and from conflict
resolution and forgiveness to how young people respond to advertising.

You will learn to apply psychology in situations ranging from negotiating
personal relationships to influencing judgments about matters of global

What will this mean for my future?
This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, a
necessary first step for many professional careers in psychology
including becoming a Chartered Psychologist.
Psychological careers include clinical, counselling, educational, forensic,
occupational or sports psychology. You could train as a Psychological
Wellbeing Practitioner, or, enter a range of careers such as health and
social care, education, research, charity work, government work, policy,
human resources or marketing. Whatever path you choose in your
working life, you will develop a psychological perspective on human
behaviour which is valued in a range of careers.
