24 | Investment on Campus
We are continuing to invest in our campus
to ensure our facilities, teaching spaces and
laboratories provide a sector-leading student
experience on a single integrated campus.
Investment on
Central Science
Laboratory (CSL)
The state-of-the-art CSL building
provides a student focused learning
environment designed to offer new
ways to learn and collaborate. This
£34m investment, opening in 2019,
will contain ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ labs as
well as IT labs. The new facilities
enable students to undertake
pre-laboratory preparation so they
are familiar with the theoretical
concepts and practical techniques
before completing experiments in
the laboratory so they can maximise
their learning capacity.
Veterinary School
The Harper & Keele Veterinary
School will provide a five-year
programme leading to a degree in
Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine
and Surgery, with training to be
delivered on both Keele and Harper
Adams’ university campuses, in
partnership with local clinical
providers and industry. Students will be based at one
university but will study on both
campuses and have the opportunity
to enjoy the facilities of both.
The Harper & Keele Veterinary
School brings together two unique
institutions with a track record of
excellence in teaching and student
experience, to provide an exciting
new opportunity for veterinary
students to train within rural
Staffordshire and Shropshire. Denise Coates Foundation
Building
Our veterinary students will have
access to world-leading science
facilities on the Keele campus,
including our Medical School,
and state-of-the-art clinical
facilities on the Harper Adams
campus. The fully integrated
curriculum ensures that students
will relate their underpinning
knowledge to clinical relevance
from the outset.
The Smart Innovation Hub is the
new state-of-the-art home for
Keele Business School opening
in September 2019. For more
