Nursing and Midwifery | 241 Post-registration Undergraduate Programmes BSc (Hons) Why study this course? These undergraduate conversion degree programmes enable qualified health practitioners working full - or part-time to complete their degree by converting their undergraduate diploma, or equivalent into a BSc (Hons) degree by studying and successfully completing 120 credits at Level 6, normally undertaking 15-credit or 30-credit modules at their own pace when part-time. The School of Nursing and Midwifery offers post-registration undergraduate programmes, based at the hospital campus in the Clinical Education Centre, Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent. Students studying post-registration modules and programmes may also attend tutorials and lectures on the main Keele campus site. The Specialist Community programmes lead to a career in district nursing for qualified nurses, or health visiting or school nursing for qualified nurses or midwives. A part-time degree in Clinical Practice enables a qualified practitioner to gain further enhanced knowledge and skills in their field of practice. Specialist Practice Programmes are Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) approved leading to a recordable or registerable NMC qualification.
