Principles of Exposure I
This course is designed to provide a knowledge base of factors that govern and influence the production and quality of radiologic images . Density , contrast , resolution ( detail ) and distortion are examined and factors influencing them are discussed . Accessory devices such as grids , filters and collimators will also be discussed . Critical thinking and problem solving skills will be utilized in the diagnosis and correction of technical errors . Lecture , demonstration and labs will be utilized so that students master imaging techniques based on sound principles and practices .

Radiographic Procedures II
The student learns to perform routine radiographic procedures of the bony thorax , pelvis , and hip . This will be accomplished by presentation of the required anatomy and discussion and demonstration of the radiographic positioning . The student will be assessed on competency on performances of the procedures .

Digital Image Acquisitions & Display
This course is designed to impart an understanding of the components , principles and operation of digital imaging systems found in diagnostic radiology . Factors that impact image acquisition , display , archiving and retrieval are discussed . Guidelines for selecting exposure factors and evaluating images within a digital system are explored . Principles of digital system quality assurance and maintenance are presented .
