Once a student ’ s application file is complete , the Admissions team makes a decision based on University admissions standards and any specific requirements of the applicant ’ s intended program of study . The student is notified of the decision as soon as possible after the requirements listed above have been met .
NOTE : U . S . citizenship or permanent residency is a requirement for licensure within certain academic programs . Students who are under DACA status or are undocumented should carefully review the licensure requirements for their state before enrolling in a degree program that leads to licensure . Additional information can be found on the National Conference of State Legislatures website . In addition , certain programs require background checks that require a U . S . social security number ; students without a U . S . social security number will not be able to complete these requirements .
SAT and ACT Test Scores
Students seeking admission for the 2023-2024 academic year are not required to submit SAT or ACT test scores , but they are welcome to do so . Over the past few years , our admitted students ’ average SAT score range has been between 970 and 1160 . The ACT range has been between 18- 23 .
Nursing Admission Requirements Students applying to the BSN Program must meet university admission requirements . Students who apply with a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher and / or SAT score of at least 1070 ( Reading 550 ; Math 520 ) OR ACT Reading of 20 and Math of 19 and earned all A ’ s and B ’ s in math and science courses are admitted directly into the BSN Program . Students applying to the BSN Program with a high school GPA of 2.8-2.99 will be accepted into the Health Studies major with the option to apply for transfer to the BSN Program during their first year . These students will be required to meet transfer student admission requirements .
Students applying to the BSN Program must meet university admission requirements . Students who apply to the program and elected not to submit SAT or ACT scores , need a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 or higher ( GPA of 3.2 is preferred ), earned all A ’ s and B ’ s in math and science courses will be directly admitted to the BSN program .
All students will be subject to a transcript evaluation at the end of their first year . Students who earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and all A ’ s and B ’ s in math / science courses in their first year will complete required clinical clearances to progress to Nursing curriculum . Students may not repeat a science or math course more than once . Students who earn a cumulative GPA of 2.8-2.999 and all A ’ s and B ’ s in math / science courses in their first year will be required to take the TEAS ( Test of Essential Academic Skills ) prior to starting any nursing courses . For those students , a minimum score of 62 % on the TEAS is required to progress in the BSN program .

Applicants who have completed work in Advanced Placement Programs in high school may submit 43
