Admissions Requirements for Term Programs First-time Students , Term Programs

All applicants must submit the following : Online application found at https :// www . gmercyu . edu / undergraduate-application . Students may opt to add Gwynedd Mercy University to their Common Application instead . Please submit only one application .

Evidence of high school graduation , which can be demonstrated through an official transcript or a copy of their General Educational Development ( GED ) test results or certificate . The high school transcript should show satisfactory completion of ( or current enrollment in ) at least 16 units in the following areas :

Gwynedd Mercy University is test-optional , which means students may apply with or without submitting scores from the ACT or SAT .

Students applying to the programs listed below who choose not to submit SAT or ACT test scores also must :

• Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher in a subject related to their desired major ( e . g ., a biology teacher if the student is seeking admission to GMercyU ’ s Biology program )*

• Schedule an in-person or virtual interview with a member of the GMercyU Admissions team

Biology ( as requested ) Education ( if cumulative GPA is lower than 3.0 ) Occupational Science Radiation Therapy Respiratory Care

Other applicants may be asked to submit an essay or personal statement and / or be asked to participate in an interview during the application review process .

* Letters of Recommendation are not required for other programs but are recommended . If submitted , the letter of recommendation should discuss the applicant ’ s character and promise as a university student , and should be sent from a high school teacher , principal , or guidance counselor .
