AY2023-2024 Undergraduate Academic Catalog The library webpage ( GMercyU . edu / library ) provides access to the library ’ s catalog , full-text online
resources , selected websites , and information about library hours and policies . All resources are accessed from any available internet connection . Off-campus users are required to log-in with their GMercyU network username and password .
The librarians at Keiss Library offer reference services in-person during the library ’ s hours of operations , assisting users in developing research strategies , using online resources , and providing general references . The assistance is also available via text message , chat , email , and telephone . When the library is closed , reference assistance is available 24 / 7 via a link to AskHerePA .
Students may print from computers in the library or their own laptops . Each student is allotted 300 free prints per semester ; if needed , additional prints can be added to accounts . The library has a book scanner and photocopier for students to use . There is not charge for using the book scanner ; and photocopies are deducted from the 300 prints allocated per semester .
A current GMercyU ID is required to borrow materials . Books and audiobooks circulate for three weeks to students . Videos of feature films circulate for seven days . Reserve materials must be used in the library .
The library is fully wireless . Students who bring their own laptops can connect to the campus network . In addition , laptops are available for borrow to use in the library and on-campus with a current GMercyU ID . Lost or damaged laptops ( or any laptop peripherals ) will be billed at replacement cost .
If needed research materials are not available , Keiss Library can borrow books , theses , and journal articles from other libraries for students through the library ’ s InterLibrary Loan service . Requested articles may be available within three business days to a week , and books and theses may be available within two weeks .

Student Success Center The Student Success Center located in the Keiss Library , provides academic and professional support for Gwynedd Mercy University students . The Student Success Center houses the following departments : the Office Academic Advising , the Office of Accessibility Services , the Office of Career Development , the Office of Tutoring Services and Placement Assessments , and the Office of First- Year Experience .
Professional academic advisors for term programs work with first and second-year nursing students , University Studies students , as well as students considering a change of major . Students enrolled in non- term programs will have an assigned professional academic advisor determined by their program of study . The professional academic advisors guide students through selecting appropriate courses , creating individual academic plans , and exploring academic interests and programs .
