Description : The Frances M . Maguire School of Nursing and Health Professions offers traditional bachelor ’ s , master of science , Post Graduate APRN Certificates , and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs .
The School ’ s other Health Professions programs , Medical Laboratory Science , Radiation Therapy , Radiologic Technology , Respiratory Care , Occupational Science and Master ’ s of Science in Occupational Therapy are cutting edge health care programs . All health care programs offer real world experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom setting . With its specialized laboratories and majors as well as the close partnerships with health care institutions and professionals , students learn to apply classroom education in clinical settings .
Students in the nursing program experience the “ profession ” in the hospital environment early in their educational career at Gwynedd Mercy University . With more than 100 regional health care affiliations , the clinical experience is always varied and first rate . The nursing program at Gwynedd Mercy University is widely known for producing excellent nurses in this region and has been doing so for more than 60 years .
Students in the health profession programs experience the “ profession ” in the hospital and ambulatory environments throughout their educational career at Gwynedd Mercy University .
