Students will learn video production in both the studio and in the field , with a focus on framing , lighting , microphone placement , composition , audio for video , and more . We will also cover postproduction , editing strategies and story-telling . This is a hands-on course .

Lawmakers and ethicists address issues such as cyberbullying , privacy rights , mental health impacts and intellectual property as they arise . In this class , explore regulation and ethics related to free expression , privacy , and data collection from the perspective of media professionals , content creators , audiences and college students . Recent cases are integrated into the course . Online behavior such as revenge , defamation and attempts at regulation through social media community rules and employer policies are addressed .
