This course will prepare students to conduct research or participate in an internship in the sciences . The course must be taken prior to or in conjunction with enrollment in BIO 421 or BIO 440 . May be taken more than once . This is an in-depth study of a specialized subject area . The selected topic varies based on student / faculty interest and current research advances . Topic , course structure , credit and instructor will be announced prior to preregistration . Course may be repeated if topic is different .
