Jefferson Option – Radiologic Sciences Students also have the option to apply for transfer into the Diagnostic Imaging Multi- Competency Program at Thomas Jefferson University College of Health Professions . Gwynedd Mercy University maintains a formal articulation agreement with Thomas Jefferson University . Students considering possible transfer to Jefferson are urged to inform the program coordinator as soon as possible upon acceptance to the Radiologic Technology Program in order to plan efficiently . Application must be made separately from the Gwynedd Mercy University application . Additional pre- requisite courses are required . Students will be advised at which point in their studies that this application must be submitted . Admission is competitive and no guarantee is granted any student that they will be accepted . Students choosing this option will have their Bachelor of Science degree awarded by Thomas Jefferson University . Students considering this option should meet with the Radiologic Technology Campus Coordinator as early in the educational process as possible to plan this pathway . This is a very competitive program , and the University makes no guarantee of acceptance .
B . S . Completion Option ( Reverse Bachelor ’ s Degree ) This program is designed to provide the Registered Radiologic Technologist , RT ( R ), with a pathway to earn the B . S . in Radiologic Technology degree recognizing their accomplishment in successfully completing a School of Radiologic Technology and subsequently passing the ARRT ’ s Examination in Radiography . The student is required to follow and complete the courses listed in the Radiologic Technology Curriculum . This is the same curriculum that the traditional 2 + 2 student follows .
Students may be eligible for up to 62 credits in the Radiology major section of the curriculum . Students may also transfer general education courses from other colleges and universities as per Gwynedd Mercy University ’ s policies and procedures . The student must also meet the credit residency requirement in order to earn the degree .

Program Learning Objectives : The success of the program , and hence its graduates , is determined by students / graduates : Successfully completing the first two years of the program with a minimum overall GPA of 2.8 and a science and math GPA of 2.8 ; Being accepted to one or more JRCERT affiliate accredited Schools of Radiologic Technology ; Successfully completing the two years of professional studies in a JRCERT affiliate accredited hospital-based program , and being awarded a Certificate of Completion ; Successfully passing the ARRT national registry examination in radiography ; Achieving gainful employment in the field of Radiologic Technology .

Academic Criteria for Admission , Progression and Retention for Radiologic Technology
Program Admissions Requirements and Procedures : The prospective student should apply through admissions . The program requires a minimum overall 2.8 GPA for all applicants . Science and math courses for first time freshmen should include Biology , Chemistry , Physics or Anatomy and Physiology , Algebra I and II , and Geometry or equivalent courses . Grades in these courses should be an average of not less than a B . Other pertinent courses will be reviewed . The Campus Coordinator will also review
