CHEMISTRY
Program Description : A student who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree may earn a minor in chemistry by completing 23 credits in chemistry .
Program Admissions Requirements and Procedures : Any student who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree may apply to earn a minor in chemistry . Students should speak with the coordinator of the Biology Program prior to completing the appropriate minor addition form .
Internal / External Transfers : A minimum of 15 credits must be taken at Gwynedd Mercy University . All prerequisites for the chosen courses must be satisfied . To receive credit for courses taken elsewhere , submission of a transcript must be submitted , and the program may request a course syllabus to appropriately evaluate course equivalency .
Academic Standards / Grade Requirements : Grades of “ C ” or higher are required in each minor course ; C- grades are not acceptable . A student may achieve less than a “ C ” grade in only two courses , and they may repeat these courses only once .

COMPUTER INFORMATION SCIENCE
Program Description : If you have a GMercyU major other than computer information science ( CIS ), you may earn a minor in CIS . The Computer Information Science program combines the fundamental problem-solving capabilities of computer science with hands-on experience in several areas of CIS , including programming , networking , cybersecurity , computer forensics , artificial intelligence , machine learning , data mining , database development , web design , multimedia , and mobile applications .
