student will have one opportunity , for one course only , to repeat the course . The student will be placed on program probation . Any subsequent grade below a C in Exploring the Natural World or a major course will result in the student being dismissed from the Radiologic Technology program . Students must go through the admission process required to be admitted to the hospital-based JRCERT accredited affiliate School of Radiologic Technology . The hospital-based JRCERT accredited affiliate School of Radiologic Technology is independent from the University . Admission is competitive and the University cannot guarantee admission .
Attendance Policies : The student is required to abide by all attendance policies set forth for each University course , In addition , the JRCERT accredited affiliate program policies for attendance are strictly enforced and will be shared with the student before or upon acceptance .
Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the affiliate program and its clinical affiliate sites .
Non-Academic Criteria for Admission , Progression and Retention for Radiologic Technology
Technical Standards : An applicant to the Radiologic Technology Program must , with or without reasonable accommodation , have sufficient abilities in the following :
Climbing--Ascending or descending using feet and legs and / or hands and arms . Body agility is emphasized . Balancing-- Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking , standing or crouching . Stooping-- Bending body downward and forward by bending leg and spine . Kneeling-- Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees . Crouching-- Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine . Reaching-- Extending hand ( s ) and arm ( s ) in any direction . Standing-- Particularly for sustained periods of time . Walking-- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks , particularly for long distances . Pushing-- Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward , downward or outward . Pulling-- Using upper extremities to exert force in moving objects in a sustained motion . Lifting-- Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position . Grasping-- Applying pressure to an object with the fingers or palm . Talking-- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word to other workers accurately , loudly or quickly . Hearing-- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound when applicable . Visual Acuity-- This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures , accounting , transcription , computer terminal , monitors , extensive reading , visual inspection , using measurement devices , assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to eyes .
