Program Learning Objectives : The success of the program , and hence its graduates , is determined by students / graduates : Successfully completing the first two years of the program with a minimum overall GPA of 2.8 and a science and math GPA of 2.8 ; Being accepted to one or more JRCERT affiliate accredited Schools of Radiologic Technology ; Successfully completing the two years of professional studies in a JRCERT affiliate accredited hospital-based program , and being awarded a Certificate of Completion ; Successfully passing the ARRT national registry examination in radiography ; Achieving gainful employment in the field of Radiologic Technology .

Academic Criteria for Admission , Progression and Retention for Radiologic Technology
Program Admissions Requirements and Procedures : The prospective student should apply through admissions . The program requires a minimum 2.8 GPA for all applicants . Science and math courses for first time freshmen should include Biology , Chemistry , Physics or Anatomy and Physiology , Algebra I and II , and Geometry or equivalent courses . Grades in these courses should be an average of not less than a B . Other pertinent courses will be reviewed . The Campus Coordinator will also review prospective student information provided for admission .
Internal transfer students seeking to enter the program will indicate interest to the Campus Coordinator who will review their transcripts and any other information available and applicable . The student seeking transfer shall have an overall GPA of not less than 2.8 and grades in science and math not less than an average of a B . The Campus Coordinator will determine if the student is eligible to transfer into this program of study provided there are enough seats remaining .
External transfer students seeking to enter the program will apply through admissions . The student seeking transfer shall have an overall GPA of not less than 2.8 and grades in science and math not less than an average of a B . Applicable courses in science must not be older than seven years to be eligible for transfer . The prospective student must take 36 credits minimum at the University to be eligible for the degree . Admissions will consult with the Campus Coordinator to determine acceptance . The registrar will evaluate courses for transfer .
Academic Standards / Grade Requirements and Progression for Medical Laboratory Science : Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.8 overall and a 2.5 average in the Exploring the Natural World section of the curriculum as well as the major . If either the overall GPA or Exploring the Natural World section of the curriculum and the major GPA falls below these standards , the student will be placed on program probation . Should the GPA remain below these standards for a second semester , then the student will be dismissed from the Radiologic Technology program . All grades in Exploring the Natural World section and the major must be “ C ” or above . For any grade below a “ C ” in any of these courses , the
