Undergraduate Career Support Guide | Seite 5

A simple way to think about your career

Career paths are rarely linear, and they almost never look the same for everyone. Many students arrive at university without a clear picture of what specific careers or workplaces look like. Career Compass is designed to help you make sense of your career development over time. It’ s not a checklist or a test of how far along you are, and it doesn’ t assume you already know what you want.
You’ ll see three stages: Explore, Develop, and Achieve. These are not levels you pass or fail. What matters most is the type of thinking each stage supports. At every point, Career Compass comes back to three simple questions:
Yourself What am I learning about my interests, strengths, and values?
Your people Who can help me understand things, give feedback, or share insight?
Your future What possibilities could I explore next, even if I’ m just curious?
Career thinking isn’ t about having answers early. It’ s about building understanding over time, learning who you are, who’ s around to support you, and what options are possible. Career Compass is here to guide that process, starting wherever you are now, and helping you move forward with confidence.
