Open throughout the day and late into the evening, the
resort’s Sunset Bar is located next to the swimming pool
and offers a comprehensive beverage selection including
exotic Zanzibari-inspired cocktails. A sumptuous afternoon
tea is served daily, accompanied by a range of Tanzanian
loose-leaf teas and herbal infusions. A lunchtime snack
menu is also available around the swimming pool.
Situated above Sunset Bar, Horizon Terrace Cigar
& Shisha Lounge is the perfect place to watch the sun
setting over the island. Sporting a relaxed environment
and welcoming couches, the lounge boasts an excellent
selection of cigars, shishas, wines, and spirits.
Offering a much-needed escape from the midday
heat, the Makuti Beach Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy
a refreshing cocktail or cold drink. A snack menu is also
available over the lunch period.
There is also plenty to occupy children visiting the resort.
The Hide & Seek Kids Club is a complimentary service for

Dining at Hideaway of Nungwi is a lavish affair. The
main Aqua Restaurant overlooks the beach and offers
both indoor and al fresco dining. A generous buffet is
available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, making the most
of Zanzibar’s abundant tropical fruit and vegetables, spices
and herbs, and delicious fresh seafood. Live cooking
stations offer freshly made pizza and pasta as well as Asian
wok-fried dishes cooked to order. On some evenings,
themed buffets are served under the African sky at the
swimming pool.
Located next to Aqua Restaurant and open for dinner,
Ishi-Teppanyaki Restaurant features the best of Oriental
cuisine, including the freshest of sushi and sashimi and a
teppanyaki counter where guests can dine while watching
the chef at work.
Specialising in exotic meats cooked over charcoal,
Carnivorous & More restaurant offers a taste of all things
African. A variety of meats are prepared, including
springbok, ostrich, impala, crocodile, and wildebeest. The
