The Championship League Darts is always
an interesting tournament, broadcast live
on the internet through LivePDC.tv and on
bookmakers websites around the world the
event can bring the best or the worst out in a
player, and this year was no exception.
There was a nine-darter from Phil Taylor on
the first day of play, Simon Whitlock and James
Wade made early exits and we witnessed a
phenominal amount of 100+ averages.
In the end it was Phil Taylor, Michael van
Gerwen, Richie Burnett, Wes Newton, Ian
White, Kim Huybrechts, Andy Hamilton and
Terry Jenkins who made up the lucrative
winners group and Phil Taylor who claimed his
third Championship League Darts crown.
Richie Burnett progressed through the seventh group
of Championship League Darts, when the action from
Crondon Park resumed on October 22nd.
Burnett topped the league phase of the event, just
ahead of Steve Beaton on legs difference, before
moving on to seal his spot in the final with a 6-3
victory over Kim Huybrechts. In the final the former
World Champion defeated Gary Anderson in a
deciding leg, booking his spot in the winners group
in the process.
John Part and Jamie Caven could only register one
victory each and were both eliminated from the
tournament, leaving Peter Wright and Paul Nicholson
to join Huybrechts, Beaton and Anderson in returning
for the final qualifying ?????????????????????()?????Q????)I?????? ?????)M??? ????)??????????)-???!????????)A???]????)A???9???????))?????
