From the outside looking in, Glen Durrant may not be one of darts’ most instantly recognisable stars, but the man from Middlesbrough has made huge strides on the BDO circuit in 2013 and the estate manager by day has the credentials to become of one the sport’s hottest properties.
Travel the length and breadth of the country and you would struggle to find a more down to earth dart player than the man affectionately known as ‘Duzza’. But just who is the man behind the magic? Durrant is the epitome of what makes darts so special: a man from a humble working-class background setting out to make inroads on the world stage after fundamentally plying his trade in the pubs and clubs of the North East.
