Coaching is ambiguous, complex, and messy
in nature. While support has traditionally
focused upon athletes, recently there has been
acknowledgment that greater support should be
afforded to coaches who are performers in their
own right. The UKPCA has been set up to do just
that. It provides a coach’s voice, services and
networks, which will ensure coaches are better
equipped to operate in the world of
high-performance sport.”
