How many times have you been standing at an
event on a beautiful day, the sun beating down,
a drink in your hand, you tap your pocket in the
desperate hope that there may be a cigar there
from your last evening out and find nothing?
Whether you find yourself at the races, polo, a
county show or a fete the British summer, if and
when it shows its face, the sun and a glass of
something chilled just shouts for a fine cigar.
Back in 2007 Simon Selkin found himself in the
champagne tent at the Goodwood Revival meeting
enjoying a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No 2, as
you would. He was approached by a number of
people desperate to enjoy a cigar and asking where
he had bought it from. As he brought it with him,
and being a Marketing man by trade, he realised
that there was a gap in the market and he set o to
t
create Robusto House.
At many events you can find Robusto House in a
tent or stand with large humidors but Simon very
quickly realised that getting cigars out and about
to the people at polo matches, racecourses another
event was not straightforward, so he created the
amazing Cigar PramTM
The Cigar PramTM is an elegant and original 1950s
Cuban PramTM and it’s unique. It can reach any

part of a venue irrespective of terrain and it is
equipped with an illuminated
interior which makes it perfect for evening and
late night (or even very late night) events.
Today Robust House brings a selection of 60
different Cuban cigars to over 25 of the key events
in the British social calendar.
As well as being well stocked with over 60 fine
Cuban cigars from a wide range of historic Cuban
brands the stands and the Cigar PramTM are
also accompanied by Robusto House’s own ‘Cigar
Sommeliers’ who will educate the purchaser
on how to select the perfect cigar for their taste,
cut and light their cigar to ensure maximum
enjoyment.
From this month we have
added the entire list of
outside events at which
Robusto House can be
found to our diary. You will
be able to quickly identify
them as we have added a
Cigar PramTM logo.
