Focus on Belgravia Boisdale Belgravia One of the first and still among the very best, Boisdale of Belgravia was one of the first Cigar Terraces to open after the smoking ban took effect. On the ground floor you will find an excellent restaurant serving great food with produce of Scottish origin. Excellent quality and not over priced for London. There is a great choice from fish to really excellent steak. At the rear is a small bar and if you are in a rush you can just belly, have a glass of wine and a wonderful burger. There is a huge range of whisky on offer and there is a great range of live music available every evening. Finally, up two flights of stairs is one of London’s first Cigar Terraces. It’s large roomy and almost always crowded with cigar lovers either there for drinks and cigars or relaxing after a meal down below. They have an excellent range of cigars on offer and plenty to tempt you to go with it. Under its fiery red and tartan Boisdale is a members club and this is something you need to watch out for. There are certain protocols which mean that the cigar terrace can sometimes get so busy that you will need to have booked a table to eat to get up there, if you aren’t a member. Also there are some special event evenings when it’s members only. Having said that, there are a huge range of events to choose from and while members get a slightly better rate they are usually also open to non members if you book up early. Who knows, maybe you will get the bug and join up. Boisdale is a great place to enjoy yourself and they know how to have some serious fun! They have also been kind enough to put together this great little video which will give you a taster.
