New Turmeaus Cigars & Whisky
Store Knutsford
Our ‘Northern Correspondent’ Dale Battams
took a day out from his busy pre Christmas
schedule to pop in and give us his initial
view on the brand new Turmeus Cigars &
Whisky store in Knutsford Cheshire.
The store had only been opened for four days but
he was suitably impressed. “Knutsford is a great
place” he told us “It’s always been a prosperous
area and the store sits between the McLaren
& Tesla showrooms 200 yards away and the
beautiful Tatton Park, with its beautiful grounds
and spectacular house. When you go there it feels
like Knutsford deserves it. The store is down a
nice, small side street off the main high street and
there is plenty of parking, particularly during the
week.
In the store I found a good size walk in humidor
with a good range of cigars. The staff were
extremely knowledgeable on both cigars and
whisky, they were also extremely attentive. I
selected an Orchant Selection Ramon Allones
Specially Selected (RASS) and headed upstairs
to the beautiful sampling lounge. It’s very
comfortable with a high ceiling and has seating for
10 to 12 people. I sat, surrounded by whiskies and
enjoyed my cigar with a coffee. This is the nearest
cigar store to my home and I consider myself very
lucky. I think it’s going to become my regular
winter cigar haunt.”

Andrew, who is the stores whisky & wines
specialist, has joined the Turmeaus from Booth’s
and as soon as the store has the necessary licence
he will be running regular cigar and whisky
pairing evenings in the store.
The store also has a considerable range of pipes
and pipe tobacco as well as a super range of cigar
smoker’s accessories including humidors, lighters
cutters and ashtrays .
