    Undertake your research from the beginning and throughout the process. Take your own notes on the sources- this will really help when it comes to writing the actual essay. Keep a detailed log of all the sources that you have accessed along the way, particularly those you intend to use as references. If you are conducting your own experiments or collecting your own data, ensure that your methods are scientific and/or consistent with best practice. Calendar Date Sept & Oct 21 Nov02 Dec Action  Students discuss potential subject areas and research questions with classroom teachers.   All Year 11 students will meet with EE coordinator to discuss their research questions. Any initial concerns flagged at this time. Provisional supervisors assigned 16 Dec  04 Jan16 Jan   Students will meet with supervisors. Students/ supervisors report back to EE coordinator if there any concerns. 10 Feb  Final supervisor assignation (there shouldn’t be much, if any, change from the previous round) 10 Mar  1st formal update- Are students attending meetings; is research underway; are they aware of assessment criteria; AOC? Expectation  Students have decided on a subject area and have an idea of research question  Students will have formulated a focused, precise RQ by the day of the meeting.  Any major concerns about suitability of student for subject/ topic etc. raised at this stage  Supervisors must feedback to me (probably through 365) EMMET DUNPHY 3
