Service & Outreach Initiatives Goal 1: Effectively promote sustainability initiatives at UGA through various media outlets The Sustainable UGA “brand” is intended to elevate sustainability initiatives and reinforce a culture of sustainability at UGA. The OoS seeks to communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders including: UGA students, faculty and staff; local community members; prospective students; alumni; potential donors and other interested external partners; and national campus rating systems. Over 200 media articles regarding UGA sustainability initiatives have been published since establishment of OoS in 2010. Media statistics in FY14 include approximately 80 written articles featuring UGA sustainability initiatives, 1823 individual subscribers to the UGA sustainability Weekly Update, 1116 friends of the Office of Sustainability Facebook page, and 1453 followers of the Office of Sustainability Twitter account.
