The University of Georgia extends resources in the form of professional knowledge and expertise to help
communities improve their quality of life and relationship with the natural world. University programs,
including the nation’s first cooperative extension service within the College of Agriculture and Environmental
Sciences, actively serve to advance sustainability beyond UGA campuses, to the state of Georgia, and around the globe.
In 2013, UGA students, faculty and staff performed over 107,779 hours of community service to create a
positive impact in our local communities.
