The University of Georgia prepares professionals who will teach, develop, manage, work in and influence society’s institutions. As part of the constant pursuit of academic excellence, UGA offers over 115 sustainability-related degree programs in seven different colleges and 18 interdisciplinary certificates to provide the academic credentials required for leadership toward a sustainable future. Sustainability-focused programs are offered through UGA’s Odum School of Ecology, the first of its kind in the nation, College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, Franklin College of Arts & Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Environment & Design, College of Family & Consumer Sciences, College of Public Health, Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources, and each of the ten remaining schools and colleges at UGA. In FY14, the Sustainability Faculty Learning Community was established to advance sustainability pedagogy and the Office of Sustainability and others hosted the 3rd annual faculty development workshop, providing a running total of 54 faculty participants with tools and resources for effective syllabi development. From 2010-2013, UGA offered 89 courses expressly focused on sustainability and 408 sustainability- ɕ
