This Faculty offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate degrees for medical and health professionals and veterinary, biomedical and molecular scientists. The health sciences are one of the fastest growing areas of employment both in Australia and Internationally.
Professional degrees offered at JCU include medicine, dentistry, medical laboratory science, nursing, occupational therapy, veterinary science, pharmacy, physiotherapy, speech pathology and sport and exercise science. Working closely with the relevant professional associations, the Faculty ensures its courses keep pace with developments in professional practice. Teaching and research facilities are outstanding within the Faculty, and the health and medicine precinct at JCU Townsville is strategically positioned adjacent to Townsville Hospital, the largest hospital in provincial Australia, enhancing the strong clinical orientation of many courses.
