Do it Yourself

All Natural Makeup

Nothing is worse than spending your change on expensive beauty products, especially when you go through them faster than Kim Kardashian’s marriage. Save your money this month with these great tips on making your own beauty products (not that you need them, though).

Bronzer:

With all the pore-clogging face powders on the shelves today, it’s time to go back to the basics and give your skin what it deserves, au nautral.

What you need:

-Cocoa Powder

-Corn Starch

-Cinnamon Powder

-Baby Power

-An old compact or makeup jar

Mix all ingredients, equal parts, together. Add more cocoa or cinnamon powder to darken the mix, or more baby powder to lighten it. Swirl onto your makeup brush and blend into your skin for a radiant, sun-kissed look!

Sugar Scrub:

Winter makes your skin dry and rough, but the price of exfoliating scrubs can make your trip to the store even rougher. This do-it-yourself sugar scrub will leave your skin feeling smooth and silky, as well as keeping your bank account happy.

What you need:

-White, granulated sugar

-Olive oil

-Lemon juice (fresh or preserved)

-Empty container

Mix two parts of sugar with one part olive oil. Add three tablespoons of lemon juice and mix all ingredients together. Add more sugar if mixture is too watery, and more oil if it is too dry. Place in a container and keep it in the shower for soft skin all year round.
