David Marchick , Muir , a prominent leader with decades of experience in global finance and private equity , public policy and services , has joined American University as dean of the Kogod School of Business . He most recently served as chief operating officer and senior Biden appointee in the United States International Development Finance Corporation ( DFC ).
1989
Valerie Keffala , Muir , earned board certification in clinical health psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology and was inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Health Psychology .
1990
John Dunlop , Muir , works for the United States Agency for International Development , or USAID , as a foreign service officer . This summer , he and his wife , Angelique , finished a four-year assignment in Madagascar where he oversaw health , environment , democracy and governance , and emergency food distribution programming . Dunlop is enthusiastically looking forward to his next job as the mission director for USAID in Kinshasa , Democratic Republic of the Congo .
Paul Lanning , Marshall , is the executive director of HealthForce Partners Northern San Joaquin Valley .

Ashanti H . Hands , Marshall , was named the president of San Diego Mesa College .

Nadia J . Keilani , Warren , was appointed to the San Diego Superior Court bench by Governor Gavin Newsom . Judge Keilani has been a commissioner of the San Diego Superior Court since 2019 .

Michal Neuman Babay , Revelle , is the author of children ’ s books The Incredible Shrinking Lunchroom and I ’ m a Gluten- Sniffing Service Dog .

Rebecca Louie , Warren , is the new president and CEO of Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation in San Diego .

Marcy Morrison , MPIA , is the associate director of career development and industry engagement at the Career Center at UC San Diego .

Hima S . Joshi , MS , PhD ‘ 01 , an educator with more than 20 years of experience , offers online chemistry classes and tutoring sessions through The Chemistry Orchard .
Parastoo Rezai , Muir , a clinical pharmacist , published her first book , Remembering Hope , a story of resilience even amid hardship .

Eric Cheung , Warren , is governor-elect of District 4A1 for Lions Club International , a group that provides humanitarian services at home and abroad . His region includes the Merced , Madera , Stanislaus , Mariposa , Tuolumne , Amador , San Joaquin and Calaveras counties .
