Chips is a sound dog that commanded presence in the Toy Group. He has a very strong rear and drives off of it. He exemplifies what a cavalier should be; elegant, regal and a true gentlemanly nature. He sired ENG Ch. Pamedna Touch Of Fan-TC, JW aka Emily bred by Maxine FoxShone (Pamedna/UK) while in the UK. She is the youngest tricolor bitch to achieve her crown in the history of the breed in the UK. Chips’ half-brother CKCSC USA Ch. and Multiple BISS Ch. Magical Touch at Judyland was ranked #5 in the U. S. in 2010 Breed. He won BOS at the AKCSC National in 2008 under UK Breeder Judge Mrs. Annette Jones. Jeremy is a very sound and balanced Cavalier and exudes type. He has beautiful expression and eyes that you get lost in which he has passed that on to his progeny. Jeremy has been a wonderful producer for us and his type, balance, movement and soundness is carried on in his progeny. We all look for the magical combination of genes and that is what the matings between the Judyland and the Pinecrest lines have brought us. However, using a philosophy of trying to breed based on familial longevity is a tenet taught to us by one of our mentors and we try to achieve that as we make choices. With a lot of the decisions that we have made in matings we try and keep in mind some of the ideas that Carmen Battaglia talks about when he reminds us of the success of “Bracket’s Formula.” It is the basic belief in pedigree analysis, litter evaluation, use of line breeding, going out when needed for future breeding and using a record system to build on so you can learn from mistakes.
