In behalf of our NEVP and her Executive Directors, I am happy to present to you some notable accomplishments our administration has done. “ NEVP Ana Ling spearheaded the completion of the PDC Center at the 2nd floor of our headquarters and initiated the formation of the UAP Land and Building Management Group that will administer the operations of our headquarters. She was also instrumental in turning over P2.1 Million proceed to UAP from the 5th UAP Golf Cup together with VPA Mon Mendoza and the UAP Building Task force headed by Wilson Sioco, Alex Cua and Jose Siao Ling. The Commission on Government and External Affairs made sure that the architects and our organization were properly promoted during the Nationwide Architecture Week and World Architecture Day; providing venue for discussion through Balangkasan; campaign for environmental protection and preservation, implementation of the provisions of accessibility law; Last October the commission conducted the First ARCASIA Research Forum in Asia held at Baguio City. We have initiated the founding of the Council for the Built and Natural Environments with a mission to provide a platform for empowering professionals working in the built and natural environments and to establish a respectable and harmonious working relationship with various government agencies through collaborative efforts within the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations. Our partners in the CBNE and PFPA are here with us tonight to grace this occasion. Our Commission on Education made it possible on various occasions in filling our academic acumen, conducted research and disseminated information and ideas, promoted the organization of apprenticeship systems and procedures for graduates, established linkages with the Centers of Excellence in Architecture of CHED and promoted the organization of UAPSA and UAPGA. The commission has finished a membership database program which is now being used by the secretariat. The commission continued to institute a system of merit recognition for outstanding and exceptional works of members in the field of professional practice and service organization.
