There were approximately 200 runners who registered with majority of them running for the 6 kilometer run, a welcomed large turnout considering an advertising period of only one (1) week prior to the race. At the start of the Brigada Eskwela 2017, the 35 students of the University of San Carlos Construction Practice also started the rehabilitation of the library. Facilitated by their class adviser, Ar. Marc Christian Ruz and officers of the Chapter, Ar. Nheil Crisosto- mo, Ar. Robert Malayao, Ar. Vangie Ulila and Ar. Marsha Amparo Presas, the collaboration proved to be a beautiful venue to teach the students the applica- tions of the theories taught to them in school. As of the date of writing, the project is expected to be turned over on June 10, 2017. An event that does not mark the end of a collaboration but a start of further and more creative ways for the profession to partner with the academe and the stakeholders.
