APG Sensitivity Training
DepEd Complex, Pasig City
A multi-sectoral discussion headed by PHILSPADA and joined by National Council for Disability
Affairs, Leonard Cheshire Foundation and UAP Makati CBD chapter was held in the formers
office at DepEd complex in Pasig City last February 22, 2019. Topic coverage centered
on sensitivity trainings to various groups that will deal with various foreign and local PWD
participants in the upcoming ASEAN Paralympic Games scheduled next year.
Sub-Committee on Accessibility and Built Environment and
Transportation Meeting (SCABET)
The first Sub-Committee on Accessibility and Built Environment and Transportation Meeting
(SCABET) for 2019 was held at National Council for Disability Affairs office in Quezon City
last February 15. It was attended by more than thirty representatives from the following
organizations: Philippine Statistics Authority, AIDEA Philippines, Life Haven, Tahanang Walang
Hagdanan, Department of Public Works and Highways, Office of Solicitor General, PDAO,
PPPC-LS, JLL, QC-DBO, Unisys, First Balfour, Archt. Armand Eustaquio, UAP Makati CBD
Chapter, and UAP Committee on Accessibility. The assembly primarily discussed the PWD
accessibility concerns on the newly constructed PSA Building in Quezon City. It was followed
by the brief report on the ocular of Clark International Airport for the upcoming Paralympics on
2020.
