Introduction
In recent years , the Blue Economy concept has gained prominence as a framework for sustainable ocean development , yet it remains unclear in its definitions and practical implementation ( Keen et al . 2018 ). This exploratory analysis of the top ten most cited articles aims to provide a clearer conceptual framework for the Blue Economy , emphasizing integration for sustainable development ( Keen et al ., 2018 ).

To understand the appreciation of this area by tourists , a questionnaire is The first step in any review process is to identify the research question ; however , through an exploratory literature review , the focus is not necessarily on a very specific research question due to its exploratory nature . Therefore , the purpose of this review is to summarise the literature on the following research question : " What are the determinants of sustainability in the Blue Economy ?".
The selection process involved choosing the top ten most cited articles , following the methodology proposed by Pech and Delgado ( 2021 ). Articles with high citations often influence the direction of scientific fields and showcase significant research trends . To determine inclusion or exclusion of an article , the abstracts of candidate papers were thoroughly reviewed to confirm they meet a set criterion .
The final sample comprises top ten papers most cited papers ( Fig . 1A ) published between 2015 and 2021 ( Fig . 1B ). The results will be presented in a narrative format , highlighting the most common research themes and identifying knowledge gaps .

Results
To understand the appreciation of this area by tourists , a questionnaire is used , addressing aspects such as the suitability of Moieciu for rural tourism , tourist , expectations , satisfaction levels , utilization of local resources in tourism activities , and suggested measures for sustainable development .
