Introduction
The tourism industry is increasingly focusing on experiences in nature , especially in places where people want to take short breaks from city life . In areas with plenty of resources that can be used without harming the environment , like Moieciu , tourism isn ' t just a good idea ; it ' s necessary to protect the unique aspects of the place .
The direct and long-lasting impact of rural tourism in this region can be seen in better infrastructure , the preservation of local buildings and traditions , and providing local job opportunities . Sustainable development is becoming more important , driven by ecological service demands and the need to address various challenges . In some European countries , especially the less developed ones , farming is a big part of the economy . But places like Moieciu can use their natural beauty and culture to make tourism a bigger part of their economy .
In Moieciu , they have things that tourists like , such as beautiful landscapes and an interesting culture . So , they can shift from farming to tourism . The Moieciu area benefits from tourist resources , making it possible to shift towards tourism-related activities . Rural tourism combines natural resources ( such as geography , climate , and landscape ) with social resources ( including cultural and historical attractions , hospitality , language , traditions , and folklore ).
Results
To understand the appreciation of this area by tourists , a questionnaire is used , addressing aspects such as the suitability of Moieciu for rural tourism , tourist , expectations , satisfaction levels , utilization of local resources in tourism activities , and suggested measures for sustainable development .
The study ' s main objective is to provide an in-depth look of rural tourism in the Moieciu region , highlighting its potential for sustainable growth and providing practical advice for advancing it . In the analysis of the Moieciu area ' s potential for sustainable tourism development from the perspective of tourists , the people who answered the questionnaire had the following characteristics :
• The majority of tourists visiting the area are female ( 66.08 %) compared to male tourists ( 33.91 %).
• The age group between 31 and 50 years represents the largest portion of tourists ( 45.68 %), followed by those over 50 years ( 33.10 %), and the 18 to 30 years category ( 21.21 %).
• A significant proportion of tourists ( 71.56 %) have higher education , indicating that visitors to the area are seeking a certain level of cultural and educational experience in addition to simplicity .
• The majority of tourists ( 74.24 %) come from urban environments .
