Now that docking stations have been installed for the Helix laptops, questions have arisen about managing multiple displays, including the projector image.

There are several ways to work with multiple displays; two of which are optimal for the classroom setting.

Teachers can extend desktop displays to all three screens. This means that different tasks could be done on separate displays: lesson plan on one screen, email and Synergy on a second screen, and presentation/demonstration projected on the board for students to see.

The second option is to duplicate one display and keep the other extended. In this manner, the teacher can have email and Synergy open on one screen (the Helix or the desktop monitor) and a presentation/demonstration duplicated on the other screen and the projector. With this setup, teachers can use the duplicated screen on the teacher's desk to work on as it displays on the board for students to view. The third display provides an additional work space for teachers to use.

The video on the right illustrates managing multiple displays.
